August 22 New Student Registration begins
August 29 Classes start - contact your instructors for details

Registration

Registration is the process of officially enrolling in the College, selecting a program of study, and paying all tuition and fees. All students are assigned a Faculty Advisor and will meet with this advisor before they can register for classes. Dates for registration in Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters are published in the Academic Calendar.

To register for courses online, students go to the Student Information at cmi.jenzabarcloud.com

Returning and Continuing Students

Returning and continuing students are encouraged to meet with their advisors prior to registration to choose courses for the upcoming semester. Assistance is given by an advisor and other staff members during Early Advising and when registering, but final responsibility rests with the students. Dates for registration in August, January, and June are published in the Academic Calendar.

New Student Registration and Advising

Students registering for the first-time at CMI are given placement tests and attend Orientation prior to registration. All students are assigned to an advisor, who is a faculty member at the College. The student and advisor work together to create an appropriate schedule of classes for the upcoming semester. The student will also need to pay all tuition and fees, attend the New Student Orientation, pick up textbooks from the College Bookstore, and confirm contact information.

Adding a Course

Courses may be added during the first week of the semester. Consult with your academic advisor to add a course.

Withdrawal

Withdrawing from a Course

To withdraw at any time, students must contact the Office of the Registrar, located in the College Center. Students may withdraw from a course or courses, without record, up to ten calendar days during the regular semesters Fall/Spring, and five calendar days of the Summer semester. A student may withdraw from a course or courses and receive a “W” on their official record until the deadline published in the academic calendar, typically the Friday after midterm grades are posted. Students who fail to meet the time frame will receive a failing grade of “F” or “NP” for withdrawals after mid-semester.

Complete Withdrawal

Students who wish to withdraw from the College must see the Dean of Student Success and complete a “Student Complete Withdrawal” form available from the Registrar’s Office and obtain necessary signatures. Students will receive an “F” or “NP” grade for each course in which they are currently enrolled if they fail to fulfill the essential course requirements or complete the proper clearance form before leaving the College. In an extraordinary situation in which the student cannot complete the clearance form, the Dean of Students may initiate the withdrawal administratively.

Auditing Classes

Any student may audit CMI courses upon receiving approval from the instructor. International students wishing to audit courses must follow the CMI international student admissions guidelines. Permission to audit courses is granted after students registering for credit have been enrolled and spaces are available. Auditing laboratory science courses is generally not allowed. Auditors register and pay the non-refundable auditor fee. No credit is given at any time for an audited course, and the symbol “AU” is recorded for the course on the student’s transcript.

  • Summer – Instructor may report no show student(s) until the 3rd day.
